About Me
Hello, I am a data scientist in the R&D team at Beatdapp, working on fraud detection in music. Previously, I was a graduate student in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo, where I was supervised by Professor Kate Larson. My research was focused on building fair and transparent AI/ML solutions, specifically in fair ranking, search, and voting systems, with a background in machine learning and NLP. I am also interested in the intersection of AI and social choice theory.
Additionally, I have worked as a Technology Consultant at PwC India and as a Data Scientist for DSSG Solve. Notably, while at DSSG Solve, I contributed to a collaborative project with the International Water Management Institute focused on researching social media discourse around extreme weather events with the goal of augmenting early warning systems and disaster response.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Information Technology at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur, India, in 2019, where I worked with Professor Saptarshi Ghosh in the field of text summarization.
